There was something truly special about gathering together to celebrate one incredible year of THATPENNY | CONNECT. The brunch unfolded on a beautiful sunny morning, with golden light pouring over the tablescape and creating the most magical atmosphere. Laughter echoed throughout as conversations flowed effortlessly between old friends and new connections. The energy was warm, uplifting, and full of genuine joy, the kind of energy that only happens when remarkable women come together with open hearts and shared purpose.
28 trailblazing women were treated to an exquisite four-course seated brunch experience by Chef Wanda Richardson that was every bit as beautiful as it was delicious. Courses included Chilled Miso Spring Pea Gazpacho with Pea Shoots and Edible Flowers, Kale and Japanese Cabbage Salad with Bright Citrus, Fresh Mint, Shiso, and Yuzu Ginger Vinaigrette, Broiled Sake-Cured Salmon with Pickled Red Sea Peas and Crispy Nori Rice, Coconut Matcha Panna Cotta with Pecan Praline it was so rewarding to watch everyone enjoy the experience together. Signature cocktails were crafted by The Vintage Horse and an elegant coffee bar added the perfect touch of sophistication to the afternoon.
The tablescape embodied femininity and elegance in every detail, featuring stunning place settings by On Brookside alongside breathtaking florals and décor designed by RooNee Celebrations. Every detail felt intentional, welcoming, and designed to create an atmosphere where women could simply relax, connect, and enjoy being present together.
One of the most memorable moments of the afternoon came during dessert, as guests gathered for an inspiring fireside conversation with Wren of Connecticut Luxury. Most importantly, this intimate gathering of extraordinary local women beautifully reflected the vision that has guided THATPENNY | CONNECT from the very beginning: connecting women, leaders, and brands through intentional experiences and authentic community.
It was a day filled with sunshine, meaningful conversation, endless laughs, new friendships, and the reminder that there is so much power in women coming together to uplift one another. This brunch was proudly created by women, for women and it was an unforgettable celebration of community, connection, and growth.
